● HISTORY ●

KITHOOD●
● Newtkit was born in the RiverClan nursery, shortly after his littermate, Hazelkit. The two were cuddled against their mother, Robinthroat. His father was at a battle during his birth, but swifty ignored the medicine cat to see his newborn kits, until he was ushered away by Robinthroat.
● Newtkit was always the voice of reason, even as a small kit. The tom was often teased by his littermate, Hazelkit. She would often lead him around camp, getting into trouble then somehow managing to put the blame on Newtkit.
● After one particularly rough bout of tag, the little furball stumbled into the warriors den, slamming into who would be his mentor, Eelstrike. He apologized furiously, but the senior warrior shrugged him off and sent him back to his mother.

APPRENTICESHIP●

●When Newtkit became Newtpaw, it was one of his happiest days. Eelstrike, a cat he had looked up to since his tumble into the warriors den, was named his mentor. He was definitely excited to train and become the best warrior any cat's seen!
● On the first day, Eelstrike took the young tom swimming and fishing. He turned out to be an excellent swimmer, despite his long-ish coat. The two brought a fish back to camp that night, and he ate up his mother's praise.
● A few moons later when Eelstrike was satisfied with his hunting abilities, he taught the tom how to fight. He learned the essential knowledge that when fighting on the home front, to use water to his advantage.

WARRIORHOOD●
● Newtpaw became Newtleg, and the tom couldn't be happier. While his father had died a noble death in battle, Robinthroat was the first to cheer his name. It is one of his most fondest memories. Hazelpaw managed to snag a rather elegant name, Hazelsong.
● Newtleg attended the gathering as a warrior, sitting among his clanmates. He puffed out his chest when Lilystar called out his name among his denmates who had also graduated.
● The tom was quick in his first battle with ShadowClan, rolling and ducked just barely out of reach of the onslaught. He left the battle with wounds on his belly. It was only later had he found out his mother let her wounds go untreated, and died with him by her side.
● After the tom mourned, Lilystar called together the clan, announcing that a litter was ready to be apprenticed. He was surprised when Lilystar named him mentor of little Littlepaw.
● Training the hard headed she-cat was a challenge, and he took it in stride. The two fought often, but in the end, Newtleg was grateful for her friendship and the experience of mentoring. He was the loudest when she was named Littlenose, cheering alongside her family.

DEPUTYHOOD●
● When word caught that Blacksnout was retiring to the elders den, the clan was shocked. Lilystar hushed the crowds, and announced her decision. Newtleg would be the next deputy. His jaw had dropped for a moment, but he quickly neutralized his expression, graciously accepting.
● Newtleg did his duties as best he could, sending out border and hunting patrols. It had surprised him when Blacksnout came to him and congratulated
him on the rank, and that he was doing an excellent job.
● During a border patrol with ShadowClan, the two clans ended up scuffling and the deputy got a scar on his left shoulder.
● A sickness swept through the camp. Greencough, it was called. Lilystar, weak with age contracted it rather easily, losing two lives, one being her final. It was that night that Newtleg journeyed to the Moonpool, and returned as Newtstar.
